Caroline Graham

Principal

Caroline is a dedicated, encouraging and caring teacher with over 20 years’ experience. She is the founder and principal teacher of the Caroline Graham School of Dance which brings excellence in dance teaching to the Chepstow area.

At the age of 18 she was accepted into the Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre: a college renowned for its teacher training excellence. Having studied dance to the highest level and performed in shows by top choreographers, Caroline currently holds an ISTD Diploma in Dance Education (Level 4) and regularly attends CPD courses to ensure that all teaching at CGSD is of the highest standard.

Caroline’s lifelong love of dance began at a very early age and saw her assisting classes and performing whilst still at school. It is this passion, and desire to share her love of dance with others, that is the inspiration and driving force behind CGSD.

“My passion always lay within teaching dance as I wanted to give others the same opportunity to enjoy dance that I had been given.”

Both as a teacher, and a parent, Caroline continually sees the benefits and enjoyment that dance brings into students’ lives, from the tiniest Melody Bear students to adults reconnecting with the dance that they have loved their whole lives.

Caroline is fully qualified, insured, enhanced CRB checked and holds an Emergency Paediatric First Aid Certificate to ensure the safest environment for your child’s dance journey.

Sam Hartley

Administrative Support

Sam has a lifelong love of dance and the arts. She has been involved with CGSD for over 5 years both as a parent and a student herself. Having chosen the school for its caring ethos and desire to foster love of dancing, she was delighted to be able to help in staging CGSD’s 2018 show “An Afternoon at the Musicals” at the Riverfront Theatre in Newport.

After the success of this show, she was invited to join the CGSD team for administrative support. As a teacher and parent herself, she is very pleased to play a small part in the smooth running of the school and in helping students to get the most out of their dance experience. Sam is DBS checked and is the person who can help you with anything from ballet shoes to payment plans.

Daisy Dickson

Teacher

Daisy began dancing at the age of 3 with the Steppin' Out Academy of Performance in Poole followed by LeAF Studio School in Bournemouth from the age of 14, where she was involved in their yearly shows. Roles there included Cha Cha in Grease (Layard Thetare). Following on from this, Daisy attended the prestigious Performers College in Essex where she gained a degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre to accompany her ISTD qualifications. She is now exploring her love for teaching further as she gains her ISTD DDE teaching qualification. She hopes to pass on what she has learnt and create a safe and positive place for her students to reach their full potential.

Theatre credits include: Jack and the Beanstalk (Lighthouse, Poole), Cinderella (Weymouth Pavilion), Pirates of the Pavilion: Live at Nothe Fort, Rapunzel (Weymouth Pavilion), Dancer in a flashmob (London Agency Mass Movement) and recently performed at the Euro 2020 closing ceremony, Aladdin (Weymouth Pavilion), Cinderella UK Tour (Made to Measure Productions).

Caroline and Becky are friendly, welcoming and nurturing dance teachers.
